A Sweet Surprise!

Earlier this summer we replaced our A/C and furnace thus convincing Alexander that a car for him was completely out of the question.  However, unbeknowst to him, we were able to save and pay for a car prior to the A/C fiasco.  The neighbors across the street from Trey's parents approached us this past December about purchasing the car.  Knowing that the car was meticulously cared for, we felt confident that this was a good purchase.  We diligently saved and paid cash for the car a couple months ago.  Trey's parents took care of the transaction for us and agreed to keep the car at their house until today.  We can't thank them enough for driving the car from Lima to Westerville and for their part in today's surprise.

Noticing the car for the first time

It was a "weird" feeling passing the keys to Alexander

Typcial boy, needs to look under the hood.  We met his exterior criteria: no green & no standard transmission

After seeing the car, Alexander opened his gifts: an Ohio State lanyard with the keys to his new car and a Central Warhawks football decal for the back window.

Papa and Grammy gave Alexander a disc golf set--Alexander and his friends disc golf regularly, so he was happy to have this gift!

Alexander decided that a cake was too normal, so he chose a collosal chocolate chip cookie decorated OSU style.

Making a birthday wish...
